Since establishing contentgroup in 1997 after 10 years as a reporter for ABC Radio current affairs - including three years in the Federal Parliamentary Press Gallery - David has been committed to helping government and the public sector build the skills and practice to communicate more effectively with Australian citizens and stakeholders.

He specialises in providing strategic communication advice to senior leadership teams and is known for his reputation management of clients in the government and public sector.

A skilled advocate with a broad network of contacts, David has a demonstrated record of providing high level, reliable and timely advice to federal and state government clients. As part of the mission to help the government and public sector communicate more effectively with citizens and stakeholders, David, in partnership with project management academics at the Australian National University College of Business and Economics, developed an evidence-based approach to strategic communication and stakeholder engagement. 

David is an active member of numerous multinational industry associated bodies, most notably the International Association of Business Communicators, Global Alliance for Public Relations, and an honorary member of the Content Marketing Institute.
